Life Groups

I enjoyed my life group tonight. The curriculum that we are doing is called Big Fish by Andy Stanley. The material talks about Christians and how we should respond to those that do not Jesus Christ. Also my mother started her first life group tonight. She was a little nervous because people in her group are national leaders at A/G headquarters. Overall the two life groups went very well, can't wait till the next one on October 5.

FIRST DAY OF CLASS

I am in class and it is going great.  Learning about cross-cultural ministry is very interesting to me because I know I will preach to different races.  My basic values will offend those from different cultural backgrounds.  So every church is  a sub-culture, and adapting to a new culture is vital to a successful ministry.    

9/17/08

The day was a great day.  I went to work and loved it because it went really fast.  Then I worked on my homework that is due on friday.  The pre-service prayer and service at Realife was great.  Jesus moved in a wonderful way through pastor Nathan, and the worship at the end of the service.  I stayed until 9:15pm worshiping God in the realife sanctuary.  

Church

I have grown up in the church my hole life.  Being a pastors' son has taught me to appreciate the role of the church in the local community.  It reaches out to the poor and needy during the holiday's.  When there is a national crisis it offers support, whether its money or material support.  I thank God each day that my home church James River Assembly reaches the community.
